TU property
The Leon P. Martuch Chapter of Trout Unlimited manages a twenty-six acre plot of land in Clare County as a memorial to Leon P. Martuch. This property was purchased in 1980 and dedicated June 28, 1980.
The focal point of these 26 acres is the West Branch of the Cedar River which flows through the property. Chapter management is dedicated to trout research, sportfishing, and the study, appreciation and enjoyment of the out-of-doors.
A present project includes the planting of cedar along the banks of the river to improve river temperatures and quantily.
The property is reached by going up (North) on Hoover Rd to Townline Rd then turning left (west) and going approx. 0.7 miles. There is a gate on the right (north) side of the road.
